Job Title: Syndicate Accountant

Location: London, UK

Company Overview: We are representing a leading Lloyd's Insurance company, providing innovative and specialized insurance solutions to clients across the globe. Our syndicate has a reputation for excellence and professionalism in the insurance industry.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Syndicate Accountant to join our team in London. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Lloyd's reporting and be responsible for the timely and accurate production of QMA, QMB, and QMR returns for our syndicate. The role will involve managing the syndicate's financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis, as well as providing support to the underwriting and claims teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of QMA, QMB, and QMR returns for the syndicate
  • Manage the syndicate's financial reporting and analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of the syndicate's business plan and budget
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with Lloyd's reporting requirements
  • Support the underwriting and claims teams with financial analysis and reporting
  • Provide input into strategic planning and decision-making processes
  • Maintain and develop relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors and regulators
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Lloyd's reporting, specifically QMA, QMB, and QMR
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • ACA or ACCA qualification preferred
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Knowledge of Lloyd's insurance market and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
