The Senior Risk Analyst will be responsible for delivering ERM activities.

  • Supporting the production of the quarterly ORSA update and Annual ORSA Report, including but not limited to the development, monitoring and refinement of Risk Appetite, monitoring of Key Risk Indicators and Capital & Solvency reporting;
  • Supporting the delivery of internal model governance processes including internal model change reporting and regulatory submissions and model use;
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer focus, including through ERM Business Partnership model for Issues & Incidents Management and Risk & Control Self-assessments (RCSAs);

Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing insights to the business: As part of each deliverable and each interaction with the business you will be curious and inquisitive to enable you to provide high-quality insights to enable better risk management and business decisions. You will be tenacious in delivery and be aware of the implications of your recommendations for the business. You will support process improvements which will require frequent engagement with all functions.
  • Stakeholder engagement: You will participate in business meetings with various functions in order to understand and support business requirements, often providing value through provision of insight and challenge. You will focus on our internal customers and put yourself 'in their shoes'. You will build and maintain strong relationships with these stakeholders, creating customer focus and supporting the business in decision making by improving awareness and understanding of risk. These relationships will enable you to become a recognised Risk contact.
  • Being a technical expert and key deliverables: The role will require delivery of key reporting to the standards expected of anERM Senior Risk Analyst for. This will include:
    • Supporting the production of the quarterly ORSA update and Annual ORSA Report, including but not limited to the development, monitoring and refinement of Risk Appetite, monitoring of Key Risk Indicators and Capital & Solvency reporting;
    • Supporting the delivery of internal model governance processes including internal model change reporting and regulatory submissions and model use;
    • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer focus, including through ERM Business Partnership model for Issues & Incidents Management and Risk & Control Self-assessments (RCSAs);
    • Assist in the production of CRO or other reporting requirements to the Group;
    • Implementing the various components of the ERM Framework in accordance with Group standards where required; and
    • Supporting the risk reporting to other (Risk) Committees and Management Groups.
    • Being an advocate of and actively demonstrating good risk management discipline;
    • Representing Risk as required at relevant groups and forums providing appropriate and value-adding challenge;
    • Collaborating with other Senior Risk Analysts, working as one team and demonstrating engagement across all assurance functions.
  • Good communication and relationship building skills will be required to collaborate and build relationships with a range of business stakeholders on a regular basis. This will also include presenting draft findings and recommendations and being receptive to feedback. Deliverables will be structured logically and key messages communicated clearly to ensure appropriate impact.

You will need to be able to display you have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Experience in Insurance and/or Financial Services
  • Knowledge of the internal model desirable
  • Ability to analyse data to provide powerful insights
  • Good engagement and relationship management with the ability to influence
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Good report production/written skills
  • Operate at pace with strong organisational skills
  • Conversant with risk management processes, language and tools/systems
  • Commercial acumen
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with all Microsoft applications
