Job Description

Our client is an international specialist insurer who have a vacancy for a Senior Project Manager within its York office. The role will offer the opportunity to take part in many large projects, the main project being delivering and working with new technology that will really provide a business advantage to this company. You will be working in a busy and high-pressured environment, regularly engaging with the CTO, Heads of IT and Business Teams.

The job

  • Manage CTO Project Portfolio (Activity, Resources and Budget)
  • Programme Management of all project activity undertaken in the CTO
  • Project Management of individual high value projects undertaken in the CTO
  • Liaison with project sponsors, Heads of IT and Business Teams
  • Monitor and allocate Azure costs to Business Teams
  • Setup and maintain PPM for all resources and 3rd Party costs
  • Ensure all projects are in governance which includes; appropriate 3D processes, documentation and reporting.

The experience and skills needed

  • Solid Programme / Project Management experience
  • Understanding of how Project Management fits in an Agile based environment
  • Good understanding of cost management and reporting
  • Embraces change and open to new approaches
  • Capable of moving easily and quickly between different project requirements and priorities
  • Good inter personal skills and able to identify key stakeholders and build relationships
