Oliver James is currently recruiting for a Senior Compliance Officer on behalf of our client, a globally recognised Life Insurance firm. This position has arisen due to increased growth within the organisation over the past 18 months.
As the Senior Compliance officer you will be responsible diving into risk assessments, overseeing testing activities and ensuring all regulatory boxes are ticket while also helping to develop financial crime risk assessments and ensuring AML compliance across the entity.
The successful candidate can expect a robust, challenging and rewarding day-to-day inclusive of, but not limited to the following;
- Supporting the Head of Function in comprehensive oversight of the branches with particular attention to AML.
- Perform and oversee risk-based testing and monitoring activities
- Ensuring oversight of compliance issues such as regulatory breeches, regulatory interaction and compliance testing
- Ensuring sales/marketing materials are in compliance with all relevant laws.
- Support the MLRO in the development and maintenance of risk assessment frameworks for the business risk and individual risk assessments including execution and reporting results.
- Support the MLRO in the development and maintenance of relevant policies and procedures.
This role would suit an individual with a minimum of 4 years compliance/financial crime/internal audit experience from either an insurance or consultancy background.
