We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Category Manager to work within Group Procurement in Norwich on a 12 month fixed term contract starting in September.
The purpose of the Category Manager role is to maximise value through the end-to-end sourcing and commercial management of the IT Infrastructure suppliers and associated third party spend, focusing on driving performance and commercial benefit from the supply chain. You'll be accountable for the management of all relevant category or sub-category spend in this critical and growing category of spend.
You will also be responsible for setting the strategy for the category, which will involve working with the relevant Business areas. A significant amount of time will be spent challenging the various functions to ensure a holistic strategy and plan is executed. Effective stakeholder management and communications skills are a key requirement.
Skills & Experience:Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills Experience of IT Infrastructure is required and specifically Networks, Telecommunications and Outsourced IT Services would be desirableSignificant experience and a proven track record of delivering Commercial, SRM, or Category Management within a demanding, fast evolving environmentLeading and managing complex sourcing processesDeveloping and negotiating complex agreements,MCIPS qualification desirable but not essential
