Our client is seeking a candidate to join the finance group as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Policy located in White Plains, NY. This individual will carry out research and documentation in conjunction with a variety of non-standard transactions, adoption of new accounting standards as well as general corporate accounting matters.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of group-wide corporate accounting policies
• Ongoing monitoring of appropriate application of accounting policies at the corporate and subsidiary level
• Provide support by researching and determining appropriate accounting policies for significant, new or unusual transactions, and effectively communicate the impact of implementing such policies to senior management
• Assisting in the analysis of impacts of new accounting policy developments or unique transactions on the consolidation system structure and the consolidated financial statements
• Collaborate with other groups and/or departments to implement new accounting standards and support corporate financial reporting
• Ensure alignment of accounting policies as it relates to executed M&A transactions
• Support SEC accounting disclosures and filings
• Coordinate with external auditors as part of the annual audit and quarterly review process
• Review and/or perform due diligence work on potential transactions
