Managing a team of three experienced Accountants
Complete responsibility and understanding of all general ledger accounts including regular review for accuracy and completeness, interfacing and preparation of journal entries
Complete accountability and timeliness for journal entries related to the monthly close
Coordination, preparation and granular documentation of the quarterly and annual statutory statement
Responsible for Management Reporting within the US and also internationally, this will also include reporting of investment portfolio
Preparation of select bank statements: operating and claims
Review RBC and IRIS ratio reports for accuracy
Data call preparation and special projects as assigned
Minimum 5 years of progressive P&C Insurance accounting experience
Must have Reinsurance/Insurance background that can prepare the quarterly and annual statements for P&C on their own with no supervision.
Degree in accounting
Strong in Excel specifically the ability to self-teach various functions as needed
Must be available for the duration of the contract
