Title: Scrum Master
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
Type: Contract
Max Rate: $65-80/hr DOE
We are partnered with a leading Financial Services organisation, who are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to help drive Agile efficiency within the team. Ideal candidate will have exposure to working with teams/projects within the Data/ETL space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates agile ceremonies for multiple teams: daily stand-up (scrum) meetings, retrospectives, demos, backlog grooming/refinement, backlog sizing, sprint planning, scrum of scrum ceremonies, release planning
- Understands and uses a variety of techniques to continuously optimize ceremonies and team participation and engagement
- Identifies and helps remove impediments, escalates impediments to product and solutions managers; recommends ways to resolve impediments, and influences leadership to take action on these recommendations
- Helps team inspect and adapt process through retrospectives, data/metrics tracking, and by creating a safe, trusting environment, coaches team to higher levels of performance
- Participates in release planning discussions, helps establish priorities and sequencing required to deliver efficiently, and helps team commit to and complete sprints
Skills Needed:
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with exposure to working with 2 or more software development teams
- Expertise with various Agile methodologies and toolsets including Jira
- Scrum Master/SAFe Scrum Master/Agile Certified Practitioner/PSM Certification(s)
- Experience with ETL, database and reporting
- Ability to manage complex project(s) simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent analytical and presentation skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable presentations/reports and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- High level of credibility with executives, various line managers and business partners; demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and drive to results
