My client is a leading Practice seeking Regulatory / Corporate Insurance lawyers to join a well-established legal team to further enhance their corporate project objectives.

They have a deeply forged reputation as a global market leader with a pedigree established over many years. In addition, they have recently been lauded by renowned industry commentators for exceptional innovation in their service development, and providing legal support to compnaie sproviding creative technological solutions to traditional problems (Insurtech / telematics / etc.). They have a very ambitious growth programme underpinned by heightened corporate activity, hence the growth in the team.

You will be an adept Corporate and / or Regulatory lawyer with good knowledge of Financial services and / or (re)insurance. Knowledge of the FCA / PRA handbook is highly advantageous. The work is exceptionally diverse; you will get involved with product development and wording, providing general regulatory advice as well as working on specialist macro-level projects to advise Boards (e.g. Brexit).

You will also contribute significantly to capital optimisation projects (SII restructuring, intergroup arrangements, etc.) and ensure that legal risks are effectively managed and mitigated. In addition you will also be involved in corporate transactions (Acquisition, disposals, Part VII's, etc.) ensuring that the regulatory aspect of these deals are robust.

The role is technically demanding and also highly commercial. You will need to forge, manage and maintain strong relationships internally and market to establish external relationships with legal and non-legal contacts. This will initially done with senior support with a view to assuming responsibility autonomously over time.
