Job Description

A FTSE Listed General Insurance business are seeking a Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join their Financial Accounting team. With exposure to other departments within the finance function - including statutory reporting team (IFRS), expense business partnering and financial planning & analysis - this role will provide an excellent stepping stone to your wider career.

Primarily responsible for preparation of the regulatory returns and reporting information, key accountabilities will include:

  • Timely and accurate preparation of reporting under regulatory requirements; including but not limited to PRA, RMAR, OBI regulatory returns
  • Assistance with Solvency II BAU reporting
  • Fully understanding and implementing regulatory changes as they impact the regulatory reporting returns
  • Working closely with the Regulatory Reporting Manager to communicate any changes to Executive and Board level
  • Assist with the production of any financial reporting and analysis as required on an ad hoc basis

Key requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience working within a General Insurance environment essential
  • Experience and understanding of IFRS
  • Good experience and understanding of Solvency II requirements would be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills and excellent reporting writing and presentation abilities
