I am currently representing a regulatory body looking for an investment compliance/risk professional to join their team supervising Wholesale firms especially in relation to their preparation for the UK's withdrawal from the European Union. The role is based in London.

I am currently representing a regulatory body looking for an investment compliance/risk professional to join their team supervising Wholesale firms especially in relation to their preparation for the UK's withdrawal from the European Union. The role is based in London.

Aspects of the Role:

  • Work with firms, supervisors and internal stakeholders to mitigate risks to the regulator's objectives caused the UK departure from the EU.
  • Identify needs and oversee the requisite authorisation process for firms as appropriate.
  • Understand firms' business strategies and activities, how they are changing in response to the EU withdrawal and they implication these changes have for wholesale conduct risks.
  • Take an active role in coaching and mentoring team members.

This role offers a unique opportunity to understand and shape the workings of the FS sector at a time of considerable change. You will enjoy an aerial view of the financial services industry as it goes through this change with the opportunity to influence change and do meaningful work that makes a real difference.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Evidence of analysing complex information, identifying key themes, developing and implementing a plan of action.
  • An in-depth knowledge of specific areas of wholesale banking, or a very good broad knowledge of the wholesale banking business model as a whole.
  • Evidence of linking analysis of conduct risks to pragmatic and effective mitigation tools.
