An exciting and non-traditional role for someone with a background in Insurance and Capital Markets. My client has a vacancy that captures and combines the Actuarial and Quantitative roles to work on groundbreaking solutions, products and strategies.

Responsibilities

This is a technical role and the ideal person will be experienced in building sophisticated models across Capital Markets, Quantitative and Actuarial areas of work.

Requirements:

4 year Degree in a Quantitative/Actuarial or Statistical field (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Engineering)

Professionals with a non-traditional background - a mix of Actuarial and Quantitative (Insurance and Capital Markets)

ASA or FSA designation are ideal. (However, candidates with fewer exams and strong hands-on experience will also be considered)

3+ years' experience in a hands-on model development role using any current and relevant language (C++, Python, R, SAS, Matlab, C#, Hadoop Framework, etc)

Innovative thinker - thrives off developing advanced solutions

Self-driven

Demonstrate effective communication in current and past positions
