Job Description

I'm seeking an experienced (Lloyd's Market) Project Manager to join an esteemed London Market Insurer in Central London on a contract basis. You'll be leading the transformation across Underwriting.

Contract Opportunity

Must have previous Project Management (Underwriting) experience.

Preferably London Market Insurance exposure.

Duties

  • Day to day responsibility for the management of the Underwriting project within the transformation portfolio, ensuring that it is delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Liaison with the Transformation Manager, Project Team, Project Sponsor and key Stakeholders to ensure successful execution of the project
  • Estimating, planning management and controlling the scope, budget and timeliness of the project
  • Ensure that all deliverables are aligned to the transformation objectives and expectations
  • Monitoring and communication of progress through cost and milestone management
  • Identifying and managing risks and issues alongside controlling and managing changes
  • Assuring observance of strategies and processes within the Project Delivery Framework
  • Creation and submission of relevant status reports throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Familiarity and assistance - as required - with other projects to meet overall project portfolio deliverables

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years work experience in a similar role involving Underwriting specific change and systems implementation
  • London Market experience is essential
  • Experience managing projects within a Transformation programme/portfolio preferred
  • Proven experience in delivering complex and/or multiple projects within budget and deadline (with associated qualifications i.e. Prince2 or Agile)
  • Robust communication and influencing skills at all levels of the business
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier/3rd party management experience
  • A background in projects involving the development of work structures and development of solutions
  • Must have demonstrable experience in planning, estimating, scheduling, risk management, issue management, dependency management and project governance adherence
