Job Description


By means of a project-based approach and management on a daily basis, the project manager must achieve the intended result qualitatively within the set budget and planning. The project manager needs to be able to work closely with the employees from the relevant departments (Customer Services, Actuarial, Product Management, IT, ...), with focus on the ultimate admissibility for the project result.

The project manager can, with the help of our common approach:

  • Verifying the project objectives and feasibility and using creative strategies solve complex challenges in project delivery;
  • Engage with enthusiasm employees who are indispensable for success;
  • To have the intellectual baggage to understand all aspects of the business challenge and to be able to communicate this clearly to senior management;
  • Defining, clarifying and phasing the project content taking into account the strategic roadmap and dependencies;
  • Drafting an all-embracing charter project;
  • Negotiating and managing internal and external parties;
  • Mobilising, managing and managing cross-departmental project teams;
  • Identify and follow up project risks / bottlenecks and proactively take or recommend the necessary measures;
  • Regular and clear communication of the project progress;
  • Formulate necessary improvements through Lessons Learned..


  • Perform preparation, pre-study and realisation phase;
  • Demarcating the project scope instead of business objective / business case;
  • Drafting and monitoring project planning (milestones, resource impact, ...)
  • Drafting and monitoring project budget (planned vs. realised, internal vs. external, ...)
  • Reporting project (progress, issues & risks) to the different levels (local and international management, PMO, steering groups, ...)
  • Pro actively identify, approach and escalate issues and risks (assumptions, dependencies, measures, ...)
  • Apply project change control (change request impact, ...)
  • Frequent, customised, SMART project communication to various target groups
  • Set up and maintain project configuration (folders, documents, ...);
  • Ensure project continuity;
  • Ensure smooth transition from project mode to operational mode;
  • Evaluating the project with a list of recommendations ("lessons learned") - People & Change Management
  • Functional leadership, follow-up and motivation of a (multidisciplinary) project team;

  • Master's degree (commercial sciences / IT management / ...)
  • You have experience as a project manager of minus 5 years and this within a matrix structure
  • Languages: mother tongue one of the 2 national languages NL / FR and good command of the second language - the language of instruction within the company is English
  • Anticipatory ability, predicting risks
  • Experience is the insurance sector is not a must
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You are diplomatic and you can also act assertively
