ABOUT THIS ROLE:

We are seeking a detail-oriented person to join the Policy Administration team as a Product Manager, responsible for helping to build the administrative software platform for our current and future clients. As a member of the Policy Administrative team, you will collaborate with other product owners, compliance, data strategy, and key stakeholders to outline new product features and enhancements to ensure that development teams have the information they need to be able to build a platform that can administer our clients' products.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Execute the implementation of life insurance and/or annuity products
  • Manage a roadmap: capture work from a wide range of inputs, understand and prioritize this work so your team is always working on the most impactful projects
  • Gather a deep understanding of the features and products that you're building through research and regular interaction with stakeholders; define the requirements for the team
  • Perform backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate production issues and resolution, including across multiple teams
  • Own and maintain the quality of the product areas your team is responsible for; deliver software in every release
  • Be open to take on special projects when required

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS/BA required
  • 2-5 years of experience as a product manager or product owner with previous life insurance experience
  • Experience in an agile environment and scrum framework
  • Clear and concise written communication skills with demonstrated ability to summarize large, complex, and conflicting data
  • Strong project management skills including driving alignment, planning resources, managing milestones, and being responsible for overall project success
  • Entrepreneurial minded and driven self-starter with the ability to learn on the job
  • Collaborative and a team player
  • Intellectually curious, proactively seeks to learn new things and drive improvements
  • Eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED

  • Experience in a technical role such as software engineering
  • Previous life insurance experience
