Job Title: Payroll Coordinator

Reporting to: Global Payroll Manager

Location: Manchester

We are looking for an experienced Payroll professional to join our team at Oliver James!

The main responsibility of this role is to e ensure all staff are paid accurately and on time and ensuring compliance with all payroll processes. You will be a strong team player who is quality driven, ensuring consistency and accuracy whilst working in a fast paced environment.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Processing of our Internal Payrolls in a range of countries
  • Ensuring payroll changes are processed accurately and completely for the processing of payroll
  • Managing relationships with various global providers with focus on the accuracy and timely receipt of payroll reports; data validation and resolving discrepancies within tight deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies ad internal controls
  • Monthly reconciliation and audit of payroll
  • Preparation of monthly payroll sign off files
  • Creating of monthly payroll journals
  • Calculation and payment of Commission payments
  • Investigate and solve payroll related queries and issues
  • Dealing with queries from the finance team regarding payroll costs
  • Supporting the annual audit process
  • Proactively identify processing issues and areas for process improvement

Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience of working within a Payroll role within a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience of processing European payrolls
  • Payroll system experience
  • Strong communication skills required to build and sustain relationships with out external customers, suppliers and internally across all divisions of the business
  • Confident, tactful individual who is self-motivated and approachable
  • Ability to work and remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Highly competent payroll professional showing excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually
  • Willingness to learn and a strong desire to develop new skills
  • Strong Excel and analytic skills. E.g. v-look up and pivot table

Desirable

  • Exposure to ADP Payroll software
  • Exposure to SAP Success Factors
