Task & Responsibilities:
- Joint responsibility for the Linux environment, this includes, among other things, ensuring the operation, maintenance and care of the Linux infrastructure as well as its monitoring (including monthly standby)
- Further development of the Linux environment with the team due to new requirements (cloud and container technologies (OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes) and standardize the deployment and patch management processes
- Planning and implementation of changes and implementation of customer orders as well as the creation of documentation of the system environment and the writing and revision of operational documentation
- Willingness to familiarise oneself with existing and new technology, including definition of a roadmap, coordinated with the various committees
- Experience in the field of authentication mechanisms such as Active Directory, LDAP, SSSD and Kerberos is desirable
Beneficial Knowledge, Skills and Education:
- Completed IT studies or comparable training with several years of professional experience in the IT environment
- Several years of experience in the administration and operation of Linux RedHat systems version 7-8
- Very good knowledge of Perl and Bash Scripting, Puppet Deployment Infrastructure, DB2 installations and ideally knowledge of SAN storage
- Ability to understand, systematize, document and explain complex system dependencies in a target group-oriented manner
- Very good knowledge of German and, due to the international orientation, good knowledge of English
