As a Junior Java Developer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with two Senior DevOps professionals and contribute to the migration of their IT back-end system to the Azure Cloud platform. Our projects also involve product investment funds, order management for stock exchanges, and providing valuable financial services to our clients.

This role will be based in Brussels, with the flexibility of working remotely for three days a week to support your work-life balance.

I'm currently seeking a motivated and talented Junior Java Developer to join their team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the development and maintenance of our Cloud-based applications, with a strong focus on Java development, Spring Boot framework, and continuous integration and deployment automation.

Junior Java developer Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Senior DevOps team to migrate their IT back-end system to the Azure Cloud platform.
• Develop, test, and maintain scalable and robust Java applications following best practices.
• Work on the creation and enhancement of APIs to support various financial products and services.
• Assist in the development of order management solutions for stock exchanges.
• Contribute to the creation of investment fund products and related client documentation.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the reporting requirements.

Junior Java developer Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong knowledge of Java programming language and Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with Azure Cloud or willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
• Financial industry knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in English, Dutch (NL), and French (FR) is essential to facilitate effective communication in a multilingual environment.
