Job Description

IT Infrastrucutre Engineer responsible for supporting, developing and managing the infrastructure projects and BAU activity.

Job Scope

  • Provide administrative, support and development on all IT Infrastructure Projects
  • Provide day to day BAU infrastructure support
  • Based in West Malling with regular travel to other offices across the UK
  • Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Projects Manager
  • Out of Hours support/work as required

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability via the third party provider.
  • Ensuring that the configuration and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) are delivered and supported to the correct standards
  • Perform due diligence, planning, rectification organisation and preparation of new acquisitions to on-boarded with outsourced partner/s
  • Provide support/insight for BAU activities and problem resolution
  • Lead project deliverables
  • Provide where necessary out of hours support
  • Manage deliverables for infrastructure projects
  • Help project team with the design and development tasks
  • Lead process of issue identification and resolution
  • Manage and keep up to date documentation
  • Work multiple projects simultaneously
  • Foster partnership with vendors/customers/stakeholders/sponsors


  • Infrastructure hardware and software including:
  • Citrix, MS AD, W7, W10, Outlook, O365, network topology, connectivity, hardware, storage, VMWare
  • Support & delivery of complex infrastructure projects
  • Working is a multi site, multi vendor environment
  • Fully outsourced infrastructure and managed service providers

Experience & Professional Qualifications

  • Five or more years infrastructure support and development role preferably in a financial services environment
  • Significant exposure to working in an outsourced environment
  • Qualifications in network administration, network infrastructure
