Head of Software Product & Development - West Yorkshire (Agile, C#, .NET, Azure, DevOps)

Established business specialising in developing digital and multi-channel products for a range of large blue chip clients, are looking to growing their leadership team. Managing a current team of 40 Developers, a team of 3rd party developers, reporting to the CIO, this is a key position in the leadership structure and will help drive the new product development team forward. Candidates must come from a software and product development background, coming through into management and leadership in their current roles. This would be the right opportunity for someone who is looking to use their skills and experience to date to join a business in the middle of a technology transformation, and be part of the change and growth ahead.

Responsibilities

• Embedding and evolving the Agile development framework, promoting the product ownership model and playing a leading role in the development of the technology strategy and roadmap.

• Provide leadership to the Development function to ensure the delivery of high-quality, best-fit, fully tested solutions.

• Oversee the delivery of development through third party partners

• Drive the adoption of best practice in software development and promote the deployment and use of appropriate development tools to support quality and automation

• Develop and publish appropriate performance metrics to demonstrate success

• Embed a culture of continuous improvement across the development function

• Work with the CIO to develop the technology vision and strategy
• Work with the technology leadership team, product owners and business to develop product roadmaps
• Participate and collaborate in innovation workshops, offering ideas and challenge in respect to product innovation priorities
