Head of Risk

I have just taken the brief on a brand-new Head of Risk opportunity on behalf of an Insurer in Zurich who are going through an exciting phase of growth. This is a new role that has arisen due to a successful restructure within the business over the last 6 months and are now strengthening their Risk management division.

This role will manage an experienced team of 8 Risk Qualitative risk professionals who cover a wide range of tasks for the group and ultimately play a key role in managing the risk agenda for the business.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting into the Chief Risk Officer you will be expected to develop and lead the team as well as supporting group wide activities to ensure they are fully on top of various emerging risks
• Ensuring risk management is embedded across the business
• Manage the 2nd Line oversight and reviews process as well as challenging capital management and other actuarial activities
• You will prepare and present relevant reports to the board and attend relevant committee meetings
