This is a newly created position within the group offices of one of the top insurers. This additional headcount is part of their continued growth and will have an integral part in driving growth across the region from a Propositions/Products standpoint.
You will be joining a dynamic team of experienced insurance professionals and the focus of the team is to:
- Identify and drive proposition development opportunities in key customer segments, need areas and channels. In particular focus is to look at opportunities in customer segments where currently local business units are less strong
In terms of exposure, need areas cover the full range of life, health, disability, medical and wellness solutions whether provided as individual or group policies and through any channel including the support of the development of new channels
Proposition development covers not just new products but enhancements to existing products and the broader proposition including how a product is packaged, marketed and serviced and value added features that can be added, beyond the traditional insurance space, to make the proposition more directly relevant to the need and expectations in the identified customer segment
The ideal candidate should possess an actuarial background, as it will be helpful in understanding technical aspects (gaining initial views of pricing/structure for products and in working with actuarial teams). Must have at least 10 year's experience within a direct life insurer, re-insurer or consultancy with a focus on life, health or savings products. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to think both conceptually and strategically as well as influencing skills to engage senior stakeholders and local business units.
