Financial Reporting Accountant

I am currently working with a insurance company based in Surrey, looking for an accountant to join their External Reporting Team. This is a full time permanent role with 1 day a week in the office!

Role Specific Accountability;

• External reporting
• Manage the monthly financial close process
• Analysis and modelling
• Lead monthly results meetings to ensure that Finance understand the key drivers.
• Identifying gaps in understanding of UK reporting requirements within the Financial Reporting Team and recommend action to reduce these gaps.

The Person;

• Fully or Part qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA

• Previous external accounting experience

• Insurance experience or financial experience is essential

• Ability to document and produce commentary to enable a wider understanding of key financial movements.

• High level of technical knowledge in relation to accounting and regulatory changes.
