Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join one a large and respected brand in the insurance market. This role will be based within the group function over sighting 6 division units, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and will in turn be responsible for at least 5 direct reports.

The role itself will be responsible for financial reporting, management reporting, process improvement, team building & leadership and working with senior management to assist with strategic decision making.

Key accountabilities within the role:

  • General ledger maintenance and balance sheet review
  • Review and preparation of Statutory Entity and Group accounts
  • Act as liaison with External Auditors for statutory audit
  • Oversee quarterly, bi-yearly and yearly budgeting and forecasting
  • Trust Account Processes and underwriting reporting
  • Update and maintain the Group treasury policy
  • Prepare a monthly cash flow forecast to project Group short / medium term cash requirements
  • Set objectives and KPIs for each of the team members and ensure performance is measured against these KPIs. Provide staff evaluations twice yearly (or as required) in conjunction with the FC
  • Ensure team members document procedures / instructions for all departmental tasks
  • Ad hoc projects and analysis

Desirable experience and skills:

  • CPA or MBA qualification
  • Big four background preferable
  • Insurance industry experience preferable
  • Minimum of three years experience in a similar role
