Job Title: Finance Business Partner
Duration: 3-6 months (potential to extend or go permanent)
Rate/Salary: £350-500 per day Outside IR35
Location: Basingstoke based (2 days in office/3 days home working per week)
The Role:
This role covers the management accounting process and management account production in the Head Office functions, delivering and explaining this MI to the Directors. The role will need to work to ensure forecasts are accurate and achievable, and challenge Directors to ensure that the financial targets are met.
- Create monthly MI and review with function directors
- Responsibility for month-end management account preparation/consolidation, to create accounts necessary to support the Leadership team with a view of financial performance and latest financial plans
- Report and explain monthly division results to Directors to ensure they fully understand their financial position
- Partner/challenge to achieve financial targets, identify risk and opportunities, challenges areas of cost savings and integrate this into ongoing decision support and planning work in process
- Responsible for all forecasting processes including budget, 5YP and Outlook, ensuring forecasts are accurate
The Candidate:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a business partner environment, in a similar size and complexity of business
- Insurance industry experience very advantageous
- Highly skilled in stakeholder engagement/management of Directors
- Knowledgable of working with IT Finance systems (e.g. SAP, BCP)
- Strong excel modelling skills, with a drive to automate/systemise processes
