Job Description

My client is looking for an experienced Engage One (Doc1) practitioner or alternatively, an IT professional who would like to gain new skills to join them on a short-term contract.

The company is a mutual organisation based in Birmingham offering financial advice and services to a professional market.

The Life & Pensions business unit uses the Engage One Enterprise Suite from Pitney Bowes (DOC1 application based) to develop, maintain and support templates that are used to issue customer facing documents. They have circa 300 templates in place covering 1,200 letter variations based on product groups.

They have an in-house development team but need to augment their capabilities for a short period of time to help with the implementation of a Transformation Programme with a significant number of templates to be developed.

The work would be focused on creating templates from letter specifications and typically involves:

  1. Creation of the template within the application
  2. Data tagging
  3. Use of Conditional rules
  4. Operation of version control
  5. Standalone testing using XML payloads
  6. Defect fixing.

Person profile; team player but self-motivated, able to work at a good pace and deliver quality outputs. Ability to read and understand technical specifications together with an understanding of data schemas and use of XML.

Training; for those who have no experience of Doc1 but wish to acquire new skills full training will be provided.

Timescales; successful candidates would be required for a five-month engagement starting towards the end of March/early April and would be required until end of August 2018.
