Responsible for developing and maintaining machine learning and predictive modelling algorithms to provide business insights and identify opportunities to improve current business processes. You will be working closely with multiple stakeholders in varying business units on new and exciting products and services. Utilising your experience with data science and machine learning, you will drive operational efficiency and effectiveness by enabling proactive data-driven decisions.

Your new role:

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining machine learning and predictive modelling algorithms to provide business insights and identify opportunities to improve current business processes. You will be working closely with multiple stakeholders in varying business units on new and exciting products and services. Utilising your experience with data science and machine learning, you will drive operational efficiency and effectiveness by enabling proactive data-driven decisions across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build bespoke models to address the needs of their customers and business.
  • Build and maintain descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models to streamline existing processes and identify market opportunities.
  • Integrate and curate data from a wide range of internal and external sources to develop detailed reports and data sets for predictive modelling.
  • Use data visualisation tools to explain your results simply and succinctly to technical, non-technical, and senior audiences.
  • Leverage cloud technologies to deploy and operational machine learning endeavours.
  • Dissect and solve complex business problems using analytically and quantitative approaches to identify patterns and correlations in large, complex data sets.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3 + years hands-on experience in a data science role.
  • Minimum 2 years of intensive experience with cloud-based Big Data, BI, ML and Analytics technologies
  • Strong capabilities in scripting languages such as Python, R etc.
  • Experience with operationalising Machine Learning.
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or other quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, physics or engineering.
