Data Scientist

Job Scope:

We are currently looking for a data Scientist to undertake the below responsibilities:

Liaise as directed with internal audit teams around the globe to fully understand audit requirements, and work with them to deliver appropriate data analytics in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Execute the data analytics work plan for planned audits, applying an understanding of appropriate analytical techniques to realise planned objectives, and ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes.
  • Work proactively with internal audit teams to research areas where analytics can add value to the internal audit lifecycle, and develop bespoke tools and systems to support this.
  • Act as a the preeminent source of expertise in the field of analytics for the Prudential group.
  • Prepare complex written and verbal materials (reports, findings and presentations).

Core Competences Required:

- A candidate is required to demonstrate experience in the below areas:
- 4+ years of hands-on technical experience mining and analysing electronic data using databases and analytic software.
- A strong working knowledge of SQL in a relational database environment.
- Knowledge and exposure of R&D
- Experience within the Financial Services Industry, with a focus on either insurance or investment management.
- Professional demeanour and strong communication skills, both written and oral, facilitating effective communication to all levels of management.
