You will play a crucial role as the liaison between the Data Engineers and Data Scientists. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making. Your expertise will enable them to optimize their operations and enhance their services. Experience in the P&C insurance industry is essential, and knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) will be beneficial in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to gather and analyze data requirements
- Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data collection systems
- Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Perform in-depth data analysis using statistical techniques and data visualization tools
- Interpret and present findings to stakeholders, making recommendations based on data-driven insights
- Continuously monitor data quality, identify data anomalies, and implement corrective measures
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and insurance analytics
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst
- Strong background in the P&C insurance industry
- Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau for data visualization and reporting
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts, with practical experience considered a plus
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
This position follows a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office per week and the remaining days remote. Our office is located in the vibrant city of New York.
Rate: $60-$80 per hour (depending on experience)
