Oliver James is currently recruiting for an experienced Chief Risk Officer to join a leading GI and Reinsurance firm who have a strong presence in Ireland and place extreme importance on culture and work-life balance.

Partnering with Senior stakeholders in the organisation you will be responsible for all three lines of defense - effectively coordinating the continued development of the risk function. This role will centre around the continued effective development and implementation of internal and external policies, frameworks and procedures while also managing the relationship with the CBI. You also focus on applying all relevant regulatory and legal standards as set out by the Central bank of Ireland.

This position will also be responsible for a small but senior team and the continued growth of the team, ensuring that new members are recruited, deployed, and developed to meet current and future requirements.

Candidates with a minimum of 8 years of insurance risk experience will be considered as per the CBI PCF 14 approval process. You will also have a strong understanding of GI and/or Reinsurance experience and ideally have worked in a people management capacity previously.
