Job Description

The role is for a Business Change Manager working within a first tier insurer based in Surrey. The initial contract is for 6 months with significant potential to extend, rates are flexible dependent upon experience. The client are looking for a candidate to join urgently (immediate start preferred although they will consider notice for the right candidate).

This is a major programme of work which is looking at the re-platforming of the commercial lines of business on to a new underwriting platform. A significant amount of development has already been completed on certain lines of insurance but the project will run for another 12 months before handing off.

The purpose of the role is to ensure projects (change initiatives) are delivered successfully, that is on time on budget and by increasing employee adoption and usage, with a clear focus on benefits delivery. The Business Change Manager role creates a bridge between the programme/project and the business and typically focuses on the people aspects of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organisational structures and will be reporting to the Programme Manager

As this is a high profile project for our client, it is important that the successful candidate meets all of their essential criteria.

Essential criteria

5 years+ experience as a Business Change Manager/Senior Project Manager with experience of business change

Demonstrable experience of delivery on large scale business transformation programmes, with the ability to cope with a high degree of uncertainty

Have experience of working across several industries or Commercial & Personal Insurance lines of business.

Experience within programme, project and change delivery. Having delivered a variety of change of different types and sizes.

Experience of leading team and influencing across all levels, including board level.

Leadership, coaching and people management skills with the ability to delegate and support remote workers and suppliers.

Detailed understanding of how our businesses and people operate and key drivers for change.

Experience of using recognised internal or external project and programme management methods.

Experience of the Insurance industry
