Job Description

Position: Business Analyst Trading activities:

Start: ASAP - Duration: 6 months+

* Company: Large invetments firm

* Position : Business Analyst/support Trading Desk

* Place of work: Paris


* Within the IT team, the individual will work closely with the Applications Development team and the Trading Desk based in Paris, Milan and North Eastern Italy in a support/business analyst role

* Associate Level position in the Applications group providing trading system support, including testing, business analysis and problem resolution

* The candidate must have at least two years' experience working with Charles River OMS (version 9.8 or later) or with others majors OMSs

* This individual will be expected to write systems specifications and to provide testing of in-house development

* Additionally, the individual will be responsible for responding to ad-hoc requests, primarily focused on Equity, Fixed Income Futures and FX Trading issues as well as the PMS-CRD interface

* An expertise on TradeSmart from TradingScreen or alternate EMS is a plus

* An expertise on SimCorp Dimension AM & OM is a plus in the context of a transformation project


* Providing testing expertise, generating business requirements, and problem resolution in support of the firm's equity and Fixed Income order management system (CRD Trading System), and related systems used in the lifecycle of an investment decision

* Providing Functional/technical specifications, test cases build up, change management follow up

* Working with both in-house and vendor provided development teams to manage/prioritize on-going system enhancements to various systems

* Addressing production related issues in the form of data analysis, assessing application/program functionality, and providing expert knowledge and training to end users

* Delivery of Commission changes to support MIFID II regulatory requirements and analysis to identify, assess and delivery any other regulatory driven requirements

Qualifications requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree

* 5-10 years' experience in application development and maintenance (non-programming)

* Working knowledge of Charles River Order and Execution Management System version 9.143 or later

* Experience with business systems analysis or quality assurance testing

* Familiarity with Sofia APL (or alternate PMS) and Abel Noser (or alternate TCA tool) is mandatory

* Knowledge of Electronic execution platforms : TradeWeb, MTS/BondVision, Bloomberg TSOX, FXALL, MarketAxess, FXGO, FX Connect

* Good understanding of data modelling to assist with systems integration and interfacing

* Front office Asset Management experience

* Experience with Bloomberg (SAPI and B-PIPE)

* Experience with FIX communication protocol

* Experience with SQL Server databases, including utilization of SQL to perform ad-hoc data requests

* Excellent requirements analysis and consultative skills, with a logical approach to problem solving

* Ability to operate effectively with limited oversight

* Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal and relationship management skills

* Ability to work in a demanding and fast paced environment with speed and discipline

* Confident working with senior management across multiple business areas

* Ability to review proposed solutions and make recommendations

* Source of proposals on the in-house developed tools and new projects: technical analysis, architecture, code review and optimization

* Fluent in English; French, Italian or German is a plus
