A global reinsurance business is currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This London based, hybrid role will see you responsible for assisting in annual statutory accounts at group level.

Key responsibilities include:

• General ledger support including posting accruals, prepayments and journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting in the annual statutory reporting
• Assisting in the preparation of annual statutory accounts
• Plus other ad hoc duties when required

For this role you should have:

• A minimum of 2 years in an accounting role
• Comfortable with the use of excel
• A strong audit / financial accounting background
• Finance systems experience
• Insurance experience preferred but not essential
• In the process of completing an accounting qualification / have the desire to complete one (ACA/ACCA)
• Ability to work well in fast paced environments and meet deadlines
