Job Overview:
They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Actuarial Business Analyst to join their dynamic team. As an Actuarial Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting actuarial and business functions by analysing complex data sets, conducting in-depth research, and providing valuable insights that inform strategic decision-making. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including actuaries, underwriters, and IT professionals, to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with actuaries and business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable analytical solutions.
- Analyse large and complex data sets, performing statistical analyses, and developing models to support actuarial functions such as pricing, reserving, and risk assessment.
- Conduct research and gather relevant data from internal and external sources to support pricing, product development, and underwriting strategies.
- Develop and maintain actuarial models and tools, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory and industry standards.
- Collaborate with IT professionals to implement and enhance actuarial systems and databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
- Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organisation.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the actuarial function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, such as product launches, marketing campaigns, and process improvement projects.
- Provide training and support to junior analysts and actuarial staff, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.

Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (such as R, SAS, or Python) and actuarial modelling tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts and findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of actuarial principles, insurance products, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a related role such as actuarial analyst or business analyst.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
