Our client is looking for seasoned insurance finance professionals to support the reporting team.

As part of the Finance Team, this role is primarily focused on the contribution and completion of internal / external reporting, statutory returns, general accounting functions and reconciliations, with limited supervision and a focus on the US obligations and local regulatory requirements.

  • Complete and deliver complex reporting requirements for the Singapore business in accordance with US requirements
  • Responsible for the delivery of MAS returns and other ad hoc returns and Queries requested by MAS
  • Liaise with Actuary for Premium and Claims Liabilities statistic during quarterly MAS Return and other annual reports
  • Liaise with external auditors for the completion of the audited MAS Annual Return and the Financial Statements
  • Complete surveys from MAS & Department of Statistics
  • Responsible for submission of financial statements at month end into the Hyperion reporting tool/Business Planning and Consolidation tool (BPC)
  • Ensure monthly reconciliations are performed accurately and on a timely basis
  • Prepare internal reporting packs in collaboration with Team members
  • Co-operate with Finance team members at month end in completing all month end tasks, including journals, reconciliations, monthly/quarterly/annual filings
  • Respond to and resolve queries within the assigned business group, developing relationships and building strong client relationships with the groups
  • Ad-hoc projects - such as re-engineering and process improvement for reporting functions within the role's responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal, statutory and corporate affairs requirements on a timely basis
  • Identify ways of improving systems and processes within your area of responsibility

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified
  • More than 5 years' experience, within the commercial insurance industry
  • Attention to detail and quality is essential
  • Strong leadership skills
