Accounting Clerk

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Accounting professional to join our leading property and casualty insurance client in Princeton, NJ. This role will be primarily responsible for assisting the reinsurance accounting processing, month end reporting and close, and other ad hoc general ledger work.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities in this role:

  • Premium & Cash bordereau preparation & processing for Third Party spreadsheet files
  • Monthly Reporting and ad-hoc Reporting
  • Research of Plan to Actual variances raised by Finance or Actuarial
  • Posting of Premium and Cash records through internal systems via spreadsheet uploads into corporate applications
  • Analysis of third party fees
  • Disbursement of Commissions & Fees
  • Premium & Cash journal reconciliation
  • Aging receivables
  • Expense oversight for reclassification and accruals
  • Late Payment oversight & notifications, cancellation / collections
  • Invoices / Payments due Vendors


  • Accounting background (insurance industry a plus)
  • Advanced Excel Skills - (pivots, functions and macros proficiency)
  • MS Access - (Access Macros and Developer skills required)
  • VBA proficiency (Visual Basic for Applications - across MS Suite)
