In a recent roundtable event in Milan, hosted by Oliver James Associates, we invited 10 CISOs from across the Italian market to discuss the latest developments in cloud migration. And while there were many views and opinions on the topic, the unanimous agreement was that with cloud migration comes much more risk.  

With on-premise security, you take away the risk of your data being lost or stolen. You also remove the third-party element to your security system, which account for over 60% of all data breaches, according to a survey conducted by Soha Systems.

So how do you safely migrate to the cloud?

By investing in your security team. If you put time and effort into building a strong security team and educating your developers, there is no reason your cloud-based security will be breached.

Seek a group of candidates who embody a variety of skills, rather than just one specialism, and you will strengthen your security team – and the safety of your organisation.
