“Big data was always tipped as an area where actuaries’ skills could be put to good use, but few have stepped into such roles, mainly because salaries for qualified actuaries are typically higher than in generic big data jobs.

We are seeing our candidates become more interested in securing data experience as it is tipped as the next bubble in the market. A number of actuaries have taken time out to study data analytics to prepare for this.””
