This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly commercial international US law firm, who have extensive international operations across the globe yet sustain a truly entrepreneurial culture. Our client seeks to recruit a 3 to 7 years post qualified Debt Capital Markets Associate. You will be based with their London office yet focus on the geographical remits of Europe, Middle East & Central Asia. The Structured Capital Markets Team in the UK is a rapidly growing specialised unit, working within the larger Finance Department. The team handles significant securitisation, structured capital markets and complex derivatives based transactions for a wide variety of significant international clients. Our client works for lead managers, issuers, originators, trustees, rating agencies and other counterparties, and in relation to securitisation transactions, in all types of asset classes, both on term transactions and also asset-backed commercial paper. Unlike many other UK teams, our clients structured capital markets team takes an integrated approach to capital markets, securitisation and derivatives work. Accordingly, their lawyers get a high level of hands-on experience across all these disciplines, rather than being required to specialise in one area at too early. You will ideally come from a similar city firm background with exposure and training to high quality work. It is essential that you have a strong academic (minimum 2.1 degree), personal and technical skills are needed to support the client work or the department.
